These hexagon earrings have a gingko pattern. The clay focal beads are glazed front and back.
I handmade these in my studio. Beginning with raw clay, the focal bead was formed, dried slowly, fired in a kiln to 1800 degrees Fahrenheit, dipped in glaze, and then fired again to over 2300 degrees Fahrenheit. The glass beads were purchased, but I finished the wire wrapping and ear wires. The ear wires are made from non tarnish silver plated wire. These artisan earrings are 50 mm, or around 2 inches, from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the drop. They weigh 5 grams each. If you need a reference, a nickel weighs 4 grams, and a quarter weighs 5 grams.
